In that recent clip where Hillary explains why her hand was covering her mouth, why is her hair sticking straight out on one side of her head?

The picture was taken while they were watching real time video of the raid on bin Laden’s compound. I expect she was seeing things that were not the usual views available the the Secretary of State.

I can’t find a clip of it on the net, but they’ve shown it on CNN a few times this morning. She suggests it may have simply been an effort to stifle a cough or sneeze.

What I’m curious about is why she has long bits of hair jutting out from her head. It really looks ridiculous, almost like that scene from that Ben Stiller movie when his date used sperm on her hair thinking it was hair gel…

I couldn’t see what you were talking about in the hand-to-mouth scene but it’s clearer in this photo. I doubt it’s a purposeful style. Perhaps she had more on her mind than looking in the mirror when she got dressed for this?

I think it is just an unflattering angle. It probably looks nice enough from the front.

She doesn’t even look shocked in the photo where her hand is over her mouth. She just looks like she’s thinking. Seriously, this is just the “criticize everything” strategy of politics/journalism.

I think if she were a man, no one would care about either her hair or why she had her hand over her mouth.

Is this the picture that you mean? My hair looks pretty much like that right now. It doesn’t seem unusual to me. I’d have my hand over my mouth too, if I was watching something grisly. They all look very tired and grim.
