Hot, cold, meat or veggies, it really doesnt matter. Where did you have it? did you make it yourself?

I just had it last night: bacon, swiss, fried egg, tomato, lettuce, toasted white bread. My neighborhood pub is fabulous. But you could easily make this yourself.
35 minutes till lunch… im drooling all over!
@eambos; “drooling all over” what, or whom? (*sandwich)
my sandwitches are the best in my opinion. I start by toasting my wheat bread, spreading on italian dressing with tillamook cheese (fave cheese!) salami, turkey, and all the veggies- mmmm!
drooling all over my keyboard! Maybe it was a bad idea to ask this, now im hungier than before! They all sound so good.
toast + butter + mac&cheese, making the ultimate sandwich of deliciousness.
wow!! ppcakes ive never heard of that!! That sounds so good!!! Any type of special bread youd recommend with that deliciousness??
How’s this sound: mac and cheese+american cheese+bread and butter, then grilled like a grilled cheese sandwich?
Fried shrimp poboy in the French Quarter in New Orleans! Yum!
eambos: Sounds good! But like a heart attack waiting to happen!! Haha.
Awww, im alll the way in new york…
Who needs a heart anyway? It just gets in the way of eating delicious foods!
if you didn’t have a heart, you couldnt eat those “delicious foods” crazy haha..
the best restaurant sandwhich I evr had is the torpedo sub at the new Yorker delicatessen in Roanoke Va. The smell of the restaurrant is so good you can wave a napkin in the air for a few seconds and eat the napkin!
hmm a sloppy leroy is my favorite…..toast cheddar cheese on one slice of bread, sautee onions and tomatoes, then put them on the piece of bread with the melted cheese and add a couple slices of bacon, then pan grill the whole sandwich..i like it on wheat bread, but rye is pretty good too.
A big fat “leftovers” sandwich the day after Thanksgiving or Christmas, on fresh sourdough…. Mmmmm
nocountry2: Definitely!!
Right after Thanksgiving when you make a leftover turkey sandwich with lettuce, tomato, pickle, mayo, mustard, olives, peppers, and provolone cheese – all on focaccia bread. Sometimes I add cranberry sauce to it, too. (I guess you could also put onions on it, but I never do because I hate onions.)
I compare all other sandwiches that I eat to this one: the Rembrandt from Romeo & Juliet’s (‘love at first bite’) in Buffalo, NY. It has tomatoes, basil and fresh mozzarella on ciabata. MM! so good.
Chili’s makes a gooood chicken sandwich.. probably the best in my opinion
Cosi makes some pretty good sandwiches too
Pret a Manger’s Cheese and Pickle. It’s so good. They have the mature cheddar cheese, pickle (which is more like a sweet chutney), lettuce, tomatoes, mayonaise all in a crispy baguette! Wonderful!
peanut butter, banana and honey grilled on cinnamon bread. Incredible.
On my honeymoon with wifey in Lake Arrowhead, CA, there was this breakfast restaurant on the lake called Belgian Waffle Works that had the best Monte Cristo “sandwich” that, was actually a double-layer stuffed waffle prepared like a sandwich (does that count)? Read on for the description:
“Brussels Belgian: Belgian waffle stuffed with ham, swiss cheese, and turkey, baked to perfection; dusted with powdered sugar and served with strawberry preserves and cream cheese.”
Okay that was almost ‘sweet and savory’ porn there…
@thehaight, i usually use potato bread, but im sure it would be good with anything. its my favorite thing to eat when stoned, oh its so delicious. i want one now and damnit i have no bread!
Warm Brie with melted chocolate on a French baguette. Oh yeah…
This is a sandwich of sorts, but really a burger. I can’t help myself though because it’s one of the few sandwich/burgers that gets stuck in my head. Anyway, at a place called Grumpys in Minneapolis they serve a burger with peanut butter and cashews. I add bacon just ‘cause I’m bad ass. And really, what isn’t better with bacon?
sndfreQ: There is a restaurant in Sacramento called The Distillery that has an amazing Monte Cristo, too. Instead of a waffle though, they use 3 slices of bread: Bread, plenty of ham, cheese, bread, plenty of turkey, cheese, bread. They serve theirs with a berry jam and fruit salad. Of course baked with powdered sugar.
Tasty!
AHHH WITCH!!!! BURN HER!!!!
Anyways… Mine is the pizza sub in my cafeteria, with peperoni slices, tomato sauce, and graded cheese. So good, but its $3 which is alot compared to everything else on the menu
@ppcakes thanks! Sounds good stoned or not, haha!
they make a mean reuben at the new york deli in chattanooga. the best part of a reuben is the kraut.
Some nice ordinary whole- or cracked-wheat sandwich bread, or some very high-quality
white bread, toasted very lightly; quite a bit of mayo; an heirloom or (in the east, where they have time to mature) beefsteak tomato still hot from the sun in the garden, sliced thickly; some ground pepper; eat this sandwich while standing over the sink so the juice can fall…..
Fried oyster poboy from Johnny’s on Decatur Street in New Orleans LA
A muffelatta from the Central Grocery Decatur Street, NOLA…Wish I could be there Friday
JAZZFEST BABY!!!
@stalley: we love muffelattas from Central Grocery! I will be in NOLA both this weekend and next ! Nothing better than spring time in N’awlins plus Great food and music!
Abalone on sourdough bread. Back in the days before they restricted limits on how many abalone you cpuld dive for, you could get them for .99 cents in Fisherman’s wharf. Nothing tasted better!
PB and J and my wife made it….
She also makes a great Denny’s Super-Bird knock off…..
fresh French dip from a hole in the wall spot.
Another spot called darby dans
Dutch crunch and fresh half and half crab shrimp salad sandwich.
best sandwich would be a hoagy with italian bread, pickles, meat, cheese, thinly sliced white onions, peppers or giardinera, tomatoes, oil, oregano, messy and a tad wet. best in southside chicago dives.
Oooooh, this is a difficult feed…..
I must choose two:
Corned beef on rye…..piled high….from The Carnegie Deli in Manhattan
And…
The Frank Sinatra. A ‘clogged artery’s’ worth of liverwurst, red onion…..mmmm…from the infamous Star Deli.
I’m not sure if the ‘above mentioned’ venue is still around though. Many fond ‘after-clubbing’ memories.
Gotta go.
I’m HUNGRY
