So it's Friday night, and I'm just dandy. How the hell are you?
Dinner consisted of chinese food, a couple beers, and of course, I just followed it all with chocolate. It’s Friday night and I get to sleep late tomorrow. I’ve got on a concert tee and jammy bottoms, and I’m almost finished with the most recent book in an excellent series. Life is good right now.
How the hell is your Friday night going? Whatcha doin?

Well,I went to an art opening that isn’t until tomorrow.
<Kicks self in @ss> XD
@lucillelucillelucille…lol! Don’t feel bad. Two summers ago, I thought my Thursday night class started on a certain week. I drove over to campus, marveling at how great the parking was. I went to the cafeteria to get dinner and they were closed…?!? When I asked someone working in the bookstore about it, they said, Oh, they’ll be open later next week when classes start. I kicked myself twice on that one…
A very busy day and, with a champagne hangover. Ugh! lol
Now it is about 6:30, very warm evening, just ripped off my clothes, made a bowl of soup, ( all the energy I have, well, I did manage to summon the strength to open a package of crackers too. haha )
I am lounging on my giant beanbag loveseat and watching ‘Tangled’. Yep, that’s about my speed now, a nice, no brainer Disney flick.
@Coloma Awww, Tangled is such a cute movie!
In addition to a good day of work (and for me, a good day at work is a day I get a ton done, whilst never changing out of my pajamas-like today!) I also managed to get my dearest friends baby gift (she had a baby on May Day) and belated birthday gift off in the mail to her, mailed out all the Mother’s Day cards (only my MIL is local) ...and to make up for the fact that the cards will be late (I’m so crap at getting stuff mailed off on time!) I called and ordered flowers for the 2 moms and 1 grandma that are out-of-town—all to be delivered tomorrow.
So, I feel SO accomplished now that I think I’ll go curl up with my Kindle and relax a bit. :)
I love Friday nights. Favorite time of the week.
Lets put it this way, I have to go now. lol
My Friday started out terrible but is pretty good now. I’m alive, I’m with my cats, I’m on the computer, I’m staying up late tonight to read my newest favorite book, and oh did I mention I’m alive!
My latest favorite book is nineteen minutes by Jodi Picoult.
Sounds interesting…I have a couple I’m reading that I haven’t had time to touch in days…
Game of Thrones/George R.R. Martin (I’m loving the HBO series), Atlas Shrugged/Ayn Rand and Dragon Prince/Melanie Rawn
In bed, with the worst cramps of my life. I have been better.
On a happier note, my girlfriend and I are going to Detroit tomorrow, and I get to spend the rest of the weekend with her. :)
Oooh..@yankeetooter.. then you might like the Patrick Rothfuss King Killer Chronicles
In a similar vein to your current reads.. and just wonderful. I am so in love with “Name of the Wind” and “The Wise Man’s Fear”
@Jude Again? I’m so sorry!!! (((hugs)))
It’s a bad, bad night! :(
Feel better, @Jude!
I’ll have to check it out, @geeky mama…whew! gonna need more bookshelves!
Which one @rock4ever?
What’s the matter @KatetheGreat?
Oh! Is it Friday night? I’m still euphoric and reeling from all the 10K parties. Think I’ll turn in early and try to read a book.
@rock4ever, I’ve been reading Nineteen Minutes off and on for the last 4 months. It really is a good book but maybe a little slow for me. I do plan to finish reading it soon.
I hear you, @KatetheGreat…today was horrible at work…hopefully your weekend’s better…
@yankeetooter Thanks! If you ever want to talk about it, you know I’m here for you!
Extremely tired. I had a test this morning and stayed up till two last night revising. Now it’s 2 in the morning and the neighbours are partying like crazy. I can’t go to sleep because of all the noise. (((sigh)))
Not great. We leave for Virginia at 5am, and I still have to finish my hair, which probably take another. Then I have to pack, set up stuff for Duncan, and clean the house. On top of that I’m mentally drained and starving, but thinking of food is revolting to me lately. Plus, i HATE long car rides. Yea, not very happy at the moment.
@queenie…Have a box fan? Put it on high in your bedroom (not necessarily blowing on you), and it will drown out most if not all of the noise….
My night is rockin the house down! Just got jammin with the boyz Woo HOO! It’s also my birthday and you all are invited over for CAKE!! Woo HOO! ;)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SWEETIE!!! Is it too late for a birthday spankin’? giggle
Happy Birthday! @Cruiser….and many moooorrrre ♬ .;D
I watched this messed up movie, Dans Ton Sommeil (in your sleep) It was pretty cool, the day was alright. Friends and I planned a trip to Québec City in two weeks’ time, and we finished up confirmation today. We’ve been working on plans for the past two weeks, and now it’s all settled. So I’m excited about that. A good day overall, much better than a lot of others. I had a nap when I got home today too, and it was awesome. Gettin my ass drunk currently.
Tomorrow, no stupid three hour shift at work, got the whole day to myself. I don’t plan to sleep in though, I plan to fucking hibernate.
I feel good. A bit sore from working in the yard for most of the day, but I have a little sun on my face, a full belly from pork chops and twice baked potatoes I made for dinner, and just finished a couple beers as we watched Broken Lizard’s stand up special. It wasn’t bad, but their movies are much better.
Happy Birthday @Cruiser!
(((Hugs))) to everyone not having a good night.
I am super. I was telling @lucillelucillelucille -Most of my friends are out of town, my children are partying in another city, my girlfriend went to see her mother for Mother’s Day. I am on my own this weekend. I had a good work out, took some photos down by the river, cooked myself a decent dinner, had a couple of glasses of wine and sort of did nothing. It was pretty relaxing. I enjoyed it. I couldn’t do this all the time, but once in a while it is pretty nice.
@AmWiser
Your damn party caused my hangover! lol
Okay, not really, I take full responsibility, I was ALREADY celebrating meeting my own deadline and then….you just HAD to have your 10k party too!
I probably wouldn’t have opened that second bottle! Well….got my quarterly drunk out of the way! lololol
Shaking and pissed off. Our pit bull (she came with my fiancée who got her when he divorced) attacked my little Pomeranian. Again. I’m stuck at work but got the report both dogs are hurt along with my fiancée who thinks he’s got a broken hand this time around from trying to get his dog off mine. Again. That’s why I’m shaking.
I’m pissed off because my fiancée was a dope for allowing his stupider ex wife to bring rescue pits into their home. They have several kids together, all three kids have been bitten trying to break up dog fights, one had a thumb torn from her palm that had to be reconnected. I’m pissed because our pit is sooooo sweet and gentle 99% of the time and so obedient, 99% of the time. I’m pissed because she can’t help her strength and that she’s designed to be so effectively vicious. I’m pissed because I’m out of patience and my level of fear has know exceeded the faith and love for this dog.
@Neizvestnaya
I’m sorry, that really sucks. I had to put down a dog once because he was too risky around my daughter and strangers. He was a hound cross, usually sweet, albeit bonehead dogs, not this guy, he was 96 lbs. of power and aggression. Not for lack of all my hard work. He was never mistreated, had obedience training, just a bad seed, psycho. Broke my heart but after he bit ME and my ex brother in-law…well…..had to take that sad trip out of denial. Best wishes with your situation. :-(
@WillWorkForChocolate Thank you and it is never too late for B-day spankings! <<puts a steel plate in his pants>>
@AmWiser Thank you and believe me I plan on it!! <<hands her a slice of cake>>
@yankeetooter Ooh, Game of Thrones looks awesome, but I don’t have HBO. I’m a big fan of Sean Bean. He has such quiet dignity and it’s really exciting to see him in a lead role. I’ve heard comparisons between A Song of Ice and Fire and Roger Zelazny’s Book of Amber, which is one of my all-time favorite books. I’ll have to check out the books while I wait for the series to come out on dvd. :(
Right now I’m eating chocolate chip cookies and drinking pinot noir in my jammies. Ahh, I’m in heaven.
@Coloma: We’ve been trying to do all we can think of before considering to give her out to a rescue place but the tension it creates in the house just keeps building. I hate that it’s my little dog that gets attacked because if it was my fiancee’s little dog then he’d be the one looking like the bad guy. Denial is the word! We’re both thinking she needs to go but it’s like a game of chicken as to who will bring it up first. I believe if it’s me then forever I’ll get the blame for her going away. Farking passive/aggressive man.
@faye I’ve been reading a series that one of my best friends got me hooked on- The Black Dagger Brotherhood series by JR Ward. The most recent book is called Lover Unleashed. Vampire romance. Yes, I read smut. =0) It’s a very well written series though, it doesn’t make me laugh like the signature romance crap does.
I support reading what you like- I like sci-fi and fantasy. I enjoyed Song of Ice and Fire and then I also like Ken Follet and Stephen King.
Well…l it is now SATURDAY and I feel grrreat! lol
Oh jeez…no more champagne for me for awhile. haha
Today I am kickin’ a$$ in my yard, it is lookin’ good!
Planted a giant bamboo in the goose corral and my gardener buddy is power washing my deck and setting up the summer outdoor scene.
Having a little party tomorrow!
Today is 1000 times better than yesterday! haha
Saturday now : Feeling horrible. My nose is constantly running and my head feels too heavy for my shoulders. My eyes feel itchy and all I want to do is sleep. And sleep.
And then sleep some more.
