Alright…I just tried to do this (I wear my hair back all the time). It is pretty much impossible to do. I think you’re better off teaching your Dad how to do it…
lol I know I’m trying to do it so much I looked up how to do it but it didn’t help
Just sit in front of a mirror with your Dad and walk him through the steps…a ponytail should not be that hard for him, and he should only have to do it once or twice a day…you’ll both survive…
I definitely just tried to do it, and I don’t think it’s humanly possible. I’ll throw in a second vote for teaching your dad how to do it.
Hope your arm heals fast. :)
and ill keep trying to put it up lol i never stop trying once i start doing something but i will get him to put it up till I get it if I ever do
I got mine in a low ponytail by bending my head far forward, as if my other hand were in a sling, and that allowed me to pull the elastic. You could get it in a low, side ponytail like that with some practice. Maybe. It looks pretty horrible on me.
lol and ya ill try that and my hair is pretty thick and long so its difficult
Yeah, same here. My hair is very long, so that was really challenging. Maybe with practice.
My wife can do the one hander no problem, but then she can knit with spaghetti!
I can put my daughters ponytail in quite well.
Can you get one of those claw shaped clips? With the righht head maneuvering you might be able to get it in there. Also maybe get a few headbands in the meantime?
you could buy one of these tutorial videos
They look useful – I am not sure you will be able to tie your hair up with one hand, have you got any hairbands that can keep your hair from your face? I always found these useful. I am guessing though that you want it off the back off your neck also? Do you have any friends that can help?
How about looping it through a loose bobble then clipping it up with a claw clip?
If he can put a rubber band around a bag (perhaps some produce, to stick in the fridge), then he can do a ponytail – it’s the same idea.
I’ve ponytailed my own hair before.
It seems that your dad would be able to do it, even without a tutorial.
ill get him to learn thanks
I recently had shoulder surgery, my teenage sons got pretty good at putting my hair in a ponytail for me.
The first tries were pretty bad, but they got better at it.
