Where can I take a physical science course online to get credit?

Asked by polycinco (187points) May 10th, 2011

I should have graduated this past weekend but I failed chemistry and I still need credit for physical science. Where can I find a physical science course, college level that will give me the credit that I need to graduate?

Thank you.

Does it have to be on-line? I would think you’d need to have a real-life lab for any decent college-level science course.

How about your local community college? They have good summer programs and often have courses in the evenings for people who have day jobs. Where do you live?

The problem is that I am an international student and I thought it would be easier online since I already applied for my OPT which is the permission to work for one year in this country after you graduate. I don’t know how it would be for an international student to apply at a community college. Thank you for your help. I am in Rogers, Arkansas right now.

Can you talk to the advisors at your college/school to see what they recommend?

Doesn’t Phoenix University have most of their catalogue available for remote learning?

The lab work is usually a requirement, four credits total. Three for class and lecture and fourth credit for lab and practical experiments ( hands on ).
Try a local community college call ask them. Classes start here next week.

Try University of Maryland. I think they even have labs that you do with items that are readily available.
