If a female in your life is a florist do you get them flowers?
What do you do when someone close to you is a florist?
Should you buy them flowers? Maybe it is something you just have to find out about the person.

Perhaps she will appreciate them more, if she knows they have a particular meaning?
Alternatively, you could get her chocolates.
Flowers are cliche’ anyway.
Make a handmade card or something.
Does she get to take flowers home?
In any case, the flowers will be your choice, not what she chooses for herself. As such it expresses what you feel about her—not just as flowers, but as flowers you choose. Assuming you are the one who chooses. I make bouquets of flowers I like to give to my wife. Thus I feel good about the flowers and good about giving them to her.

It depends on the person.
I still love flowers even though I garden.I have photos of them from photographer friends and wouldn’t mind a floral painting even though I am an artist and could do one myself.
Why don’t you buy her some exotic flowers that you cannot find in her store? It’d be impressive.
I have found it useful to ask someone what he or she would enjoy before I went and bought it.
If she’s a florist, she probably loves flowers. I like the idea of getting something exotic that she doesn’t see every day.
YES!!!
My mother was a designer for 20 years but I still get her flowers and she’s always excited to make them into some gorgeous arrangement in whatever containers/vases I have around.
Of course. She above all appreciates what flowers are all about.
I actually think that people in certain lines of work appreciate gifts in their field MORE than those who are not.
If a florist doesn’t appreciate your flowers it’s probably because she doesn’t appreciate you.
Flowers and other stuff. Like a visit to the spa or maybe a .22 rifle, engraved. Pink would be cool.
Since she’s up to her eyeballs in flowers each day, she’d probably appreciate something different, like a handmade card or a mix CD.
