How do casinos deal with floodwater?

Asked by john65pennington (29273points) May 12th, 2011

I just read an article, concerning the flooding of the casinos, in Tunica, Mississippi. I am wondering if the effected casinos have flood insurance and how it applies to a casino boat?. Question: If all nine casinos in Tunica have flood damage, what will be the combined total monetary loss? And, will the gamblers ever win again or will they suffer really “tight machines”,in order to pay for the flood damage?

I’m writing out of ignorance here. My guess (and it’s just a guess) is that casinos probably have flood insurance just like any other business. I would think that the casinos wouldn’t adjust the machines as they’re theoretically random anyway. But I don’t gamble anymore, so I really don’t know.
