Songs about working together as a team/fitting together?
Hey folks, I’ve been gone from Fluther for what feels like FOREVER, but i’ve come crawling back because I need help and I know Jellies are reliable folks…
I work at a summer camp and the theme this summer is “piecing it together” and our focus is on working together/parts becoming a whole/etc. but we’re really struggling to find a happy, upbeat, child appropriate song that we can use as a theme song for the summer! We’re ideally looking for songs with the same message as “we go together” from Grease or “All in this Together from High School Musical, except without the sound where we’d want to tear our own ears off halfway through the summer. So, here I am begging for suggestions. Please and thank you!

The Muppets’ “All Together Now, Alltogethernow”
May not be upbeat enough, but One by U2 might work for some slower activities.
I get by with a little help from my friends
It may be cheesy, but it sure fits the bill :¬)
This song is specifically about what you are wanting to do, and it is a catchy tune and easy to sing.
@Sunny2 – That’s originally by The Beatles, but yes, The Muppets covered it.
You could look through the Rise Up Singing songbook for more songs about cooperation and working together.
If the children are young, you might try “Heigh-ho, Heigh, ho,It’s off to Work We Go” from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
it’s a catchy little tune and has words that can be easily changed if you want to eliminate the idea of team-work in a diamond mine.
Probably Workin’ on a Chain Gang is not what you had in mind.
Gotta catch them y’all The pokemon theme song.
In the Air by Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers! Plus, it’s a great introduction to the world of rock n’ roll!
Pennsylvania Miner – A good ol’ tune about banding together against your local coal overlord.
Damn the man.
Brother – A jaunty tune about not ratting out your own to the po po even if they kinda deserve it.
Baltimore Whores – A song of friendly competition and camaraderie amongst a bunch of whores.
*you shouldn’t use any of these, the lyrics are far too complicated for a sing-a-long
How about, ‘We Are the World’?
