Are these symptoms of athletes foot?
I don’t know where I would have picked up athletes foot but judging by the intense itching on and around my toe, I assume that’s what this is. My baby toe in particular is suffering the worst of all. At night it’s the itchiest. Almost unbearable. The itch is so intense I want to dig sharp instruments into my skin to relieve it. Gross, I know. Also on the skin around my toe it looks like the skin is getting flaky and peeling and the toe nail is looking a little different then the others. Is this athletes foot? Are there any natural home remedies you would care to share? I want to avoid having to buy embarassing and expensive creams at the drug store.

No, athletes foot doesn’t make you its, but it sounds like some kind of fungus
@XOIIO It doesn’t cause itching? I thought that was the main symptom.
It does sound like athletes foot. You can read more about the causes, symptoms and treatments (OTC and by your doctor) here
It looks like most people have had athletes foot at one time or another and you can pick it up in places other than gym floors and showers. Itching is indeed one of the main characteristics of athlete’s foot.
@XOIIO Did you see a doctor? Did they confirm it was athletes foot? What were your symptoms of there was no itching?
@ItalianPrincess1217 My skin was peeling off inlayers, to the point where I had to take scissors and cut dead skin off of my foot, the entire bottom was like that and in between my toes as well. Athletes foot spray did help.
It could be though when I had it I didn’t itch very much. I had some flaking skin in between my toes. Mycil Powder worked wonders and cleared it up in a few days.
It sounds exactly like athlete’s foot, buying spray or cream for it isn’t embarrassing but if you really don’t want to do it just get your significant other to go buy it for you with the classic line “If you really loved me you would do it”
@XOIIO that sounds more like foot rot
it does sound like athlete’s foot. you can pick it up really easily. It’s not embarrasing and very common but if you want to treat it, please check that the medicine you use is suitable during pregnancy.
