Oh, to clarify: a store where I could see this in person would be ideal (within the SF Bay Area, so either a chain or a store local to here), though online-only places are acceptable as well.
I see them all the time at Walgreens.
Look out for the cheaper ones the most typical compromise is a noisy whirring pump !
Someone update me on water fountains.
Is the water fountain you are looking for self-sustaining? Or, does it require standard electricity and a water source?
@john65pennington They are usually a closed system with the water added to when it it gets low from evaporation. It does require electricity.
@dabbler the whirring pump usually happens when the fountain needs water.
Walmart sells them for a reasonable price, and if I remember correctly they have a nice selection.
I recently purchased one for $25 from an import store at the mall. I haven’t noticed the motor making noise.
