I come on fluther a lot because it’s part of my daily routine. I come on fluther when I have idle time and when I want to procrastinate.
I discovered Fluther in February of this year. I think I was searching for a question on the internet, it popped up, and then I was hooked.
I like Fluther because it is so much different than other question and answer websites. The people on here are far more intelligent.
The largest impact Fluther has had on me is the people. I have met a lot of people on here and most of them are quite fantastic!
I discovered Fluther a little more than three years ago when surveying social networking sites for a client.
I joined, and I was immediately hooked. I keep coming back for the joy of answering questions and the Fluther community.
The largest impact on my life has been the wonderful people that I have met on Fluther (and some now in real life).
I discovered Fluther a little over a year ago after returning from an overseas trip and was jet lagged and out of it for about a week. lol
Oooh what a monster I created. lol
I enjoy Fluther for the information, questions and people. A nice quasi ‘social’ outlet for me as I live in a rather secluded mountain tourist area and am semi-retired. :-)
@KatetheGreat “it’s part of my daily routine”
@marinelife “I was immediately hooked.”
@Coloma “what a monster I created.”

When I was suspended for 2 weeks awhile back, I managed just fine, got a lot done! haha
Fluther is a crazy passion of mine. ;)
The jellies keep me coming back.
KatawaGrey makes me Fluther.
I fluther in the morning, I fluther in the evening, I fluther all the live long day….
I love the people and miss them when I’ve been gone or if they’ve been gone awhile. I’m addicted, what can I say?
@chyna : “Say you’ll never leave me, baby, oooh oooh!”
The cold steel of a Colt 1911 pistol at the back of my neck and the commission checks I get.
The fear of getting whipped by a certain someone if I don’t…
Since August 8th, 2008, I have been locked in this dungeon deep under the ground I know not where. Could be Paris because there seems to be so many weird sounds. Or London. Or NYC. I don’t know.
Anyway, each day, a man (or maybe a woman) in a black hood mask and a jelly T-shirt stands behind me with a gun to my head. If I don’t type enough words per day, they take away my food. And then they refuse to let me go to the bathroom if I am foolish enough to try to resist.
I pound away at the keyboard probably 18 hours a day. Maybe more, if my thinking has slowed up. They also seem to care about lurve. If I don’t get so much per week, they start really squeezing my balls. Really. For real. If you’ve ever wondered why some of my posts seem so tortured, that’s because I am tortured.
They say they’ll let me out someday. They haven’t told me when. It’s just the same, day after day, not even weekends off. A couple of times I tried to delete my account, but these people must have some in with Augustlan, because she changed me back to who I was, together with all lurve. Maybe they have her in a dungeon, too?
Oops. Gotta go now. My jailor is back from her (his?) pee break.
I joined Fluther in June 2009. I was searching for advice on a particular issue and I accidentally stumbled upon this site. I immediately realised it was a community of witty, intelligent and wise souls so I wanted to stay.
I’ve been coming back ever since and it’s part of my daily routine now. Oftentimes, I find Fluther comforting when I’m feeling lonely, confused, etc.
I find it humorous at other times. Overall, it’s the people that make up Fluther that kep me coming back.
I enjoy posting questions, comments, and opinion. I also like to read other questions, comments, and opinions. Sometimes you can learn about all different subjects on Fluther. Thank you, RTT
@RTT You’re welcome!
You never did get back to me via PM about shaving my body hair.
Almost 3 years ago, I read an article online with the headline “Better Than the Name Suggests”, about this quirky Q&A site that had a lot going for it. I hadn’t even known that Q&A sites existed prior to that. I surfed on over to take a peek, and was immediately intrigued. I felt like I had finally found “my people”. In short order, I was completely hooked! Debate, learning new things, the great people here… what’s not to like?
Later on, I became a volunteer moderator and eventually the community manager. I’m lucky enough to get paid to be here now! :D
I found Fluther after someone asked my opinion on the answers she was given to a question she posted here. I read her question and the answers she was given and then continued looking through the site. I enjoy helping people, so I stuck around. That was over a year ago now and I’ve come to really enjoy my time on Fluther. :-)
I just like you guys. I like your questions. I like your opinions.
I haven’t met any of you in person but I’m sure we’d have a good time
I originally came to the site because hobbitsubculture showed it to me and posted questions when we were looking for our apartment. Then it turned out the hospital computer here doesn’t block it, and some of the people aren’t retarded, so it seemed like one of a few decent ways to waste time and get paid. Of course, now I also Fluther at home and at friends’ houses, but not so much as at work still.
I came to Fluther when Wis.dm was abandoned by it’s creator, and this site was mentioned by some one that site. It took the place of most of my other hobbies for a couple of years, but now there are so many duplicate or game questions, I have been able to mostly wean myself from it, and get back to making gifts for charity.
Lately, I think it’s masochism.
It makes me feel awesome. lawlz
Never been on a Q & A site before, and if someone had suggested it, I am sure I wouldn’t be able to find any reason why I should possibly join one. I got here because i was watching that Werner Herzog documentary called “Encounters at the End of the World”, about the South Pole. There was a scene in which Herzog questioned one of the penguin-keepers about whether a penguin can go insane. Then there was a heartbreaking scene in which one penguin from a flock inexplicably began running toward the mountains, away from the ocean, and to certain death. So I Googled “can penguins go insane?” and found this entry on Fluther. Then I just started browsing, and fell into it.
So, that’s what led me to Fluther. “Do penguins go insane?” Yeah.
I stayed because the people here are interesting and annoying and diverse and versatile, and a couple of them made me feel super-welcome when I first arrived (and guided me through a couple of shitstorms I started early in my Fluther career).
So I guess you could say, given the choice between the ocean (the mainstream sites of the internet) and the mountains (Fluther and its eccentric members), I turned around and waddled toward the mountains. Does that make me insane?
Fluther saved my sanity the first winter I was laid up, and I had to stay to see what happened next!
I Fluther therefore I am.
I come here for the nekked pancake parties.
