Is there a movie you have watched recently that has haunted you?
It touched you so deeply you can’t quit thinking of it and you want to watch it again.
Why was the movie so important to you that you can’t get it out of your mind?
I finally saw Into The Wild after a few jellies suggested I should watch it. omg, what a touching story. It’s based on a true story, and if you haven’t seen it, you should.

I’m still trying to get over Life is Beautiful, which came out over 10 years ago, and am still not ready to watch it again.
I suppose the reason is that my father fought in WW2, and his group was one of the first to enter a concentration camp (Mauthausen in Linz). Mom said that he had nightmares for years afterwards. When I was grown and living in Chicago, they came to visit. We toured a museum that had a special Holocaust exhibit at the time, and I recall sitting down at a table after going through it, and he shared some of the details for the first time ever, at least with us.
@Pied_Pfeffer I loved that movie. I couldn’t quit crying when I watched it.
“You talkin’ to _me?”
Travis Bickle, a character played by Robert De Niro in the 1976 movie Taxi Driver.
“I’ll make him an offer he can’t refuse.”
Marlon Brando as Vito Andolini or Vito Corleone (The Godfather)
King Kong ain’t got @#$! on me!
Denzel Washington, Training Day
oops…wrong question…sorry!
Well, I just watched The Others, but that “haunted” me in a different way. I wouldn’t mind seeing it again, though. Sames goes for The Machinist, which I’ve seen twice in the past fortnight. The Machinist is not exactly surreal, but it is very bizarre and creepy and it’s one of those movies that leaves clues throughout the whole movie, but you don’t realize they were clues until the very end, so it begs another viewing.
The Holy Mountain. Holy shit, if you thought “Inception” was a mindfuck, you obviously have not seen this movie. It is just so vivid and bizarre that every goddamn scene sticks to your mind.
The Pursuit of Happyness. Oh my gosh, I can’t look at homeless people now.
