Best way to get rid of all my body hair?

Asked by CuriousLoner (1812points) May 16th, 2011

My main purpose for this I’ve been getting more serious about doing a triathlon and I want to do my best.

I use to not care when I would swim, but I’m starting to feel it could give me a bit of an edge now that my attitude has been shifting from for fun to more competitive. Not that I will come in first or anything. Its just for me personally.

So whats the best way to go about this???

I’ve shaved/trimmed in “certain places” but not anywhere else really…Any help is appreciated.

I think usually athletes that do this, they wax.. no?

@MissAnthrope Not sure. Sounds painful though :| don’t they that stuff you spray on and it falls off??

Are you interested in painless and fast? These two combinations come with faster re-growth of hair.
If you’re ok with some pain and have a lot of time, try Laser hair removal or Electrolysis.

Nair is one quick and painless options. Just apply before taking a shower/bath, wait for 10–15 minutes (or as the box suggests) and wash/wipe off. Depending on your body, this should last you about a week to four weeks.

I agree with @naivete, depilating is one of the most effective and least painful (and least expensive!) options. I had a friend who used to do triathlons and used Nair.

I think a lot of people do use a depilatory for this purpose, but if you have sensitive skin watch out. Burns me like a mo-fo.

Wax on. Wax off. It doens´t hurt that much believe me, and the more times you do it, the less it will hurt.

Shaving is the quickest and least expensive way to go.
