My friend's boyfriend was killed in a car accident last nite. Will yall please help me with coming up with an adequate consolation gift? (more info n details)

they’ve been dating for 4 months. She’s a sophomore & he was a junior. It was incredibley tragic & my sophomore class is donating money 2 do or get something for her. We won’t have a big budget because there’s only about 90 of us in all. We’d rather not get her just flowers.

I’m very sorry to hear about this. I’m sure this is a very difficult time.

Perhaps the class can petition to have a plaque or some kind of memorial installed somewhere on campus that was a favorite spot of his or theirs and have a dedication (or perhaps tie it to a club or other school interest). I realize the end of the school year, so you probably need to move quickly.

I’m so sorry. That’s really sad.

Can you start a scholarship memorial fund? Maybe ask parents and teachers to get involved too?

plant a tree in a public place

You could fill a monument with things that remind everyone of her boyfriend.
@Kelly
The tree idea also works and is a good idea.
Sorry for your friends loss, hope all goes as well as it could during a time like this.

thank u all very very much for your condolences & thoughtful ideas to commemorate his death. Because our budget was only about $120, we contacted a local boutique that arranges incredibley unique & beautiful floral pieces. They are going 2 work some jewelry into the vibrant Gerber daises & ribbons. She won’t even go into her room because of all the memorabilia, so we wanted to choose something that would brighten her day & cater to something SHE would like. Do u think this was appropriate?

Sounds like a great idea, hope the healing can start.

The tree idea is good.
