YYAAAAAYY!!… I don’t live in France.
I already celebrated in 2007 when I was in Glasgow lol.
I’ve always found the mystique (for lack of a better word) of absinthe to be intriguing, but seeing as I don’t live anywhere near France, I guess I’ll have to settle for giving a small cheer and consider trying some when/if I ever make it over there.
I always preferred Kubler anyway.
I tried proper absinthe when I visited the Czech Republic and realised that I hate it. If someone had warned me it was aniseed flavoured I wouldn’t have bothered. However as a result of disliking absinthe I discovered another Czech drink that I like much better: Becherovka. (which apparently also contains aniseed but I couldn’t taste it.
I am not celebrating, but if I get a chance to taste some, I will take it.
Considering how hornbasket the French are, it’s about fucking time! :D I’ve never liked absinthe, but then I’ve never had actual real absinthe. Just mockalikes. :/ I don’t enjoy licorice.
