Yet another request for book recommendations! Do you know of a book (fiction) that is set around a lighthouse?
Or a film, except Pete’s Dragon (that’s what started my lighthouse obsession in the first place!)

I love this film, based on a Jules Verne novel, so it fulfils both your needs…well, possibly anyway :¬)
The Blackwater Lightship by Colm Toibin was a beautiful novel about a family going back to their grandparents house when one of them is dying of AIDs.
There’s a really great movie called Captain January starring Shirley Temple and Buddy Ebsen.
And there’s an excellent book, written for children, but I absolutely love this book, called Ghosts of Cabrillo Lighthouse by John Sinor.
I haven’t read this one but The Lighthouse Keeper’s Daughter sounds very good. If you scroll down, you can see some other listings for children’s books about lighthouses.
Here’s another one that I have not read called Lighthouse Ghosts that seems to have gotten mixed reviews. If you scroll down, there are some other selections for ghosts in lighthouses.
Tower of Silence, Sarah Rayne. I read it years ago so I can’t recall the story fully.
Virginia Woolf wrote To the Lighthouse. I found that reading it was a slog. Some folks consider it a small masterpiece.
There is also Ahab’s Wife A large chunk of the first part takes place at a lighthouse.
The Darkest Night – Dean Koontz
