How do I set the alarm to go off at a different time on an iHome clock?

We have an iHome Kitchen device, which looks different. To set the alarm (which we never do) you hold down a button labeled with a picture of an alarm clock until the alarm display icon blinks. Then you use left- and right-arrow keys (also labeled -minutes and +minutes) to change the alarm forward or backward. AM and PM automatically changes with the time. When it shows the desired time, press the alarm clock button again. Hopefully your device works similarly.

One of the worst user interfaces ever. In fact I’m not sure how to turn the alarm off. Not to worry, I don’t sleep anywhere near the kitchen.
