Can someone be said to have had a "private audience" with anyone besides the Pope?

I read about those who had a private audience (or audience) with the Pope. Is there anyone else with whom you may be said to have had a private audience with besides him? And if not, why would only the Pope be associated with the phrase?

It is also common to talk about having a private audience with a king or queen. This is what’s behind the live collection of Elvis’ music called “A Private Audience with the King.” Google suggests it can be used for just about anyone, but these seem to be the more common uses.
Then there’s this. Apparently even artifacts can get in on the game.
I’ve heard the phrase used to describe any one on one meeting with any head of state.
So it would be proper to say, “I had a private audience with President Obama?” I thought you’d just say you met with him.
I think it would be proper, but it would also be unusual. We typically reserve the phrase for certain people.
I have heard you can have a private audience in certain clubs with dancers.
@bob_ – I thought you said that was a revelation…
@SavoirFaire – Oh my God thank you for making me look this up. Who knew you could pun in Norsish.
Well, impressed as I am by @bob_ ‘s obvious magnificence, we’re only in trouble if he lets go the tail. Keep biting the tail, @bob_ , keep biting that tail!
@iamthemob It’s the natural result of my being born looking like this.
sheesh, @bob_ You need to read more closely. @Aster did not ask about a “privates” audience.
