I haven’t had one in ages, but I don’t remember them being particularly tasty. Maybe if it catches on, they’ll come out with popular flavors, like “sour cream and chive,” or “barbeque,” or “blood wine.”
Ha ha1 I can’t believe you asked this. I believe that the wafers are just white flouir and water. Not very healthy at all. When we were kids my sisters and I used to make our own and play church. One time I took the real consecrated Communion wafer out of my mouth and saved it for later! Horrors! Imagine there I was walkng around with the body of Christ in my pocket. I was scolded for that…not sure how they found out. Maybe I confessed it? I probably knew it was wrong. I don’t know why I did it but it was with no evil intent, lol.
It has caught on big in Quebec. Wondered how the Catholics felt about them as a snack.
I think it takes the priest to bless them first at church for them to have the meaning of the body of Christ so before that, they are just a simple tasteless cracker
yes, I know. I would think a large percentage of Cathllics would think it extremely disrespectful to be munching on them whether blessed or not.
When I was a kid the church my family went to started using wheat wafers.
