Where should I get my tattoo?

I’ve been thinking a lot lately of getting a tattoo to celebrate my cancer survivorship. I’ve already come up with a design – a cancer awareness ribbon made into a butterfly (apparently it’s quite common). http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=9399875&l=7608f0ec88&id=518585733 It’ll look something like that – Please keep in mind I have no artistic talent so hopefully it’ll look a little better :)

Due to my job, I can’t have glaringly obvious tattoos.. any suggestions on where I should get it (that’s not for everyone to see?)

What about on your back, near your shoulder blade? Or maybe your calf?

My “hey! I beat cancer!” tattoo is on my abdomen, over where the bulk of the tumor was. I don’t think you have quite that easy an option, though, if I remember correctly. How about somewhere you can see it regularly? I’m still (after 12 years) a bit lifted when I see mine. Maybe over your heart?

So you’re in remission from that recent occurance? That’s fabulous!

I remember you saying that you have some features you’re self-conscious of from effects of chemo. I don’t know if any of those places would make good tattoo locations, but if so maybe you could put it near one? That way, when you feel self-concious about that feature, you could look at the tattoo and remember what you were up against, that you beat. Just an idea!
