Mark Burnett is adapting The Bible. Who do you think will be voted out first?

What do you think of the reality show king (Survivor, The Apprentice, Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader) creating this scripted adaptation of the Good Book?

Does it make you angry?

Are you glad because you never found time to read it anyway and now you can be sure it will be edited for character development and interest?

What parts do you think will end up on the cutting room floor?

Any other thoughts?

Hmmmmm, I guess it will be interesting to see what he does with it. If he keeps it pretty accurate, I don’t really see a problem. If, however, he chooses to go for the controversy and have it acted out in the style of “Noah and the Big Ass Boat” or “Joseph and his Hoes of Many Colors”, THEN I’d be offended.

All the reprehensible stuff will be left out.

What constitutes “reprehensible”?

genocide, endorsement of slavery, oppression of women, infanticide, even forced miscarriage as a test of fidelity, that sort of stuff.

Whatever God wants voted out, because of the doctrine of Biblical preservation.
