Is there a way to search for questions, or sort questions, by the date they were posted?

Say for instance I want to look at all the questions posted in August of 2010.

I would just type in August 2010 and hit search. You’re going to get both answers and questions but hopefully you’ll find would you’re looking for. If you need help just ask one of us.
@everephebe,
If you need help just ask one of us.
I’m sure this offer of help is well meant, but it puzzles me. What “us” does this refer to that doesn’t include @Mariah? Whom is she supposed to ask? I, for one, would not be able to tell her a better way; I struggle with search here all the time.
I agree with @Jeruba. Please don’t ask me, my search skills on Fluther suck. Or maybe the search engine sucks.
Us i.e. jellies. I meant tap the whole collective, but fine, sorry my language was loose.
^She did ask the whole collective by asking this question. I answered to make light of how bad the search engine on this site is.
Why do I have to explain myself here?
I MEANT a different, actually specific, question.
You know how each question has a number, like this:
http://www.fluther.com/120113
When I’m desperate to find an old question, and I don’t remember the exact wording, and the search box is being useless, then just change that number up and down by 10000 then, then 1000 until then 100, and so on until you find the range of questions you’re looking for…
You can use wildcards in Google searches. The query below will get you questions asked on the 1st of August 2010.
site:fluther.com “Asked by * August 1st 2010”
Or if you wanted all of them from August.
