What's the best electric toothbrush?

I’m looking for a good toothbrush at a reasonable price. I’d pay a good amount for a really good one, but not a ridiculous amount for just a fancy one. Hopefully that makes sense. If you use one and love it, what has the dentist said in check-ups since using it?

Once I started using a Sonic Care my checkups and cleanings were remarkably better. It was recommended by my dental hygienist and I’ve been using one for 15 years now. Very happy. And I mean really, look at my name. Who better to recommend??? ;-)
I like my Sonicare. I read someplace that the frequency of the vibration is tuned to promote the health of gums and jawbone, and most of the electrics aren’t.
Philips Sonicare FlexCare Rechargeable Sonic Toothbrush is best.
Sonicare is the very best.
I can tell you which is the worst: Colgate.
Funny, here in Holland it’s more Oral B you will see in bathrooms, much less Philips (even though Philips is Dutch brand).
Thanks fellow Flutherites, but I don’t want to spend $100 for a toothbrush. What about this one? It is Sonicare, but not the FlexCare that was the only specific model recommended here. Thanks again!
Another vote for the Sonicare, which was recommended by my dentist. I got a good deal on it at Costco.
Happy with my son’s Oral B Pulsar. About 10 bucks.
Hate, absolutely hate the Colgate. And their service was worse when it broke down after a week. What a waste of money. Glad I have the chance to warn someone.
There is another Oral B electronic toothbrush that looks just like a normal toothbrush but has a button to turn it on and its only like 4 bucks. I’ve been using it for the last couple years and it has done just as well if not better than any of the 30 dollar electronic ones that come with a charger and all that extra junk. Another Plus is that it is really lightweight and easy to bring with you if you travel much.
