Do you toss and turn or simply get in bed and go to sleep?

Some people have elaborate patterns of sleeping positions. Others just get in bed, pull the covers up and they are asleep. What’s your pattern? I get in bed curl up facing right. Sometimes I fall asleep in that position. If not, I turn on my back, stretch out and sometimes fall asleep there. Mostly, I turn on my left side and finally drift off.

I am the worlds biggest tosser and turner. I must be a pain in the ass to sleep with.
Lately, I’ve become something of an insomniac but usually, if I’m dead tired and I mean tired, then I’ll go to sleep in no time. Otherwise, if I go to bed not feeling sleepy or am worried about something, I’ll toss and turn every single minute.
Usually I go right to sleep.
Flop onto my stomach, and I’m asleep in seconds. I used to have a thrashing problem, but I kicked that nasty habit. My cat is a tosser and turner though.
I’m always drunk as shit when I hit the sack. I think it takes me one to ten minutes to pass out. When I don’t drink though, I can toss and turn for literally hours, sometimes I don’t even sleep at all. Even on days where I’m overly exhausted.
Get in bed, snuggle down and pretty much I’m out for the count. If I am going to be sleepless, it will be if I wake up a few hours later and can’t go back to sleep.
Get in bed, sleep for 2 hours, lie awake for an hour, sleep 2 hours, lie awake for an hour, then sleep for an hour when the alarm goes off.
That’s a good night.
Some nights I can’t sleep at all.
I fall asleep pretty easily, within a few minutes usually.
I’m a side or belly sleeper, fully sprawled, and pillows scrunched up just right.
I bought an awesome memory foam bed a few years ago, it is bliss out to the 10th power. lol
I don’t fall asleep well, so I alternate between right side and left side positions for a while. It’s very elaborate, though. I use 4 pillows: 2 under my head, one between my legs, and one to “hug”. The pillows under my head must be cool, the blanket at the bottom has to be between my feet and at the top tucked over my shoulder, and my hair must be out of the way (off my neck), so every time I switch positions, it’s a bit of an ordeal.
Apparently, I don’t sleep well, either, because my husband and I are always amazed at the wreck I make of the bedding. I swear, it looks like a tornado happens in our bed every day.
I fall asleep very quickly, and heavily. Although, I apparently move around much in my sleep. From tossing and turning to what was described as, “Attempting to put your legs behind your head.”
Head…pillow….out for the count!
Usually a flying leap and I am out before I hit the mattress….unless of course…. ;)
I hadn’t really thought about it but I have a routine. I put down my book, switch off the light and lie on my right side for a minute or two then turn over to my left and I am gone very quickly.
