Yes. You can notify a Moderator who will guide you through the process.

@AmWiser That depends. If I remember correctly, user names can be changed only for an compelling reason, and/or only under a certain lurve level (I seem to remember it being 500 pts?).

I don’t know if Augustlan can do it, but I remember asking Andrew (one of the owners of the site) to change my username for me. It’s hard to get in touch with the owners and the rest of the fluther staff excluding Augustlan.

I sent Augustlan a link to this question so that she can give a valid answer. For anyone not familiar with this feature, it is a matter of clicking on the Share Question feature in the original question. Note that the person you want to send it to has to be a Jelly you are following. It is one reason to follow fellow Jellies that you know well enough to call on in a time of someone else’s need

By the way, our rules on name-changes have relaxed somewhat. Anyone can request a name change for any reason, at any point level. But: Generally, we’ll only change it once. So it’s best to give some serious thought to your new name because you’ll most likely have it forever. We require that you post your old name on your profile page for a while, until people get used to the new one.
