How do hickeys form?
I know you get a hickey from someone sucking on your neck, but how or why exactly does that redish purple mark come up? And what are some affective remedies to get rid of them?

Just blood vessels breaking forming a bruise, that’s all.
I’ve no idea how to get rid of them, other than time.
They are indeed broken blood vessels. There is little evidence of anything clearing up bruises faster…however, I have found that banana peels do help take care of large bruises…so you could try that or a supplement of Quercetin
To get rid of them, you use high-quality concealer (NOT from a drug store, invest $30 bucks on a department store brand and it’ll last for years), and learn to love the scarf fetish that has swept the fashion world.
Years? Are you sure? My friend has a huge one just last week, and now there is not a trace of it left on her neck…
No, the concealer will last for years, not the hickey.
“Oh hickey what a pity you don’t understand…. ahem, sorry about that. I got a little carried away ;¬}
