What should I put on this art nouveau fish bowl stand (besides a fish bowl ;))

Asked by Jude (32204points) June 7th, 2011

Now, if I could find antique fish bowl that would fit it, I would get it (if it’s not priced too high). I’d get me a betta to go in it.

Do you think that a larger potted plant would work?

@Jude -I have a friend that might do commission work…or you might be able to find something at an art fair or department store.

I don’t know if you want to keep it inside, because if you don’t you could put it outside, in the garden (if you have one) or the balcony and place a birds bath on it.
For inside a nice big plant is cool, or a globe/atlas.
And i know someone who makes damn pretty pottery ‘dishes’.
Her name has nine L’s in it.

I would get a round shaped glass bowl and make a Terrarium out of it. So it would still have the same sense as a fish bowl, but it would have plants instead of a fishy.

A cranberry glass bowl (image is at bottom right of page) would look really nice.

Get a glass bowl/container to put a plant in that has larger foliage. It looks NICE!
