I need some help with my phone charger?

I’m having a bit of trouble with my phone. I wasn’t using my phone, an LG Vortex, for several days due to being on vacation. I tried to plug it into my charger when I got home, and for whatever reason, it wouldn’t charge my phone. It charges via a USB connector, which then plugs into a wall adapter to charge. I’ve been able to connect the USB cord to my laptop, and it charges just fine through there, but I think my wall adapter may be busted for some reason. Anyone have any ideas on what went wrong? Or any idea how to fix it that without me having to buy a new adapter? :l
