If I asked “Alaska?” as a fluther question, and offered no supporting details, what would you answer?
Sometimes I wonder what kind of weirdness lies in other people’s heads. Seems to me that there are some questions that offer people a chance to show off their quirkiness. Here’s your chance.

To be honest I’d probably just flag you.
$1,000 from oil companies
….when she returns home from work.
I’d either flag it for editing or just move on without answering.
“Place I desperately want to revisit.”
Sarah “I can see Russia from my window” Palin
Idaho, Alaska [punchline]
If Mississippi wore her New Jersey, what did Delaware?
Orange trees won’t grow there.
Hard not to think of Sarah Palin right?
I think cold!
Be sure to stop by the Red Dog Saloon in Juneau and have a beer!
When I think of Alaska, I think “last American frontier.”
@JLeslie
There are no “frontiers” anywhere else.
@CaptainHarley But, do you mean it still has a lot to explore? Or, that it is the 49th state? Or, that we haven’t overpopulated and turned into another American state with chain restaurants and Walmarts (maybe walmart is there?). Or, just that it is still fairly rural and wild, untouched.
@JLeslie there’s a Wal*Mart, Wellsfargo, Outback Steakhouse, Hilton, Gap, Hot Topic…. Anchorage is just like any other American town just smaller. Although, what I’m sure what @CaptainHarley means is just that. Alaska is the last American Frontier. There’s much of the state that has still yet to be discovered. Plus It’s filled with wilderness. :)
First thing that’ll come into my mind would be cold. So I’d probably say “Take a coat with you.”
I live in Alaska. And guess what!?!?! It’s like eighty degrees today.
And I don’t have a pet moose. Or an igloo. Or even a Penguin. (Although, that would be cool)
caribou sausage, moose brisket, bear steaks, smoked salmon.
@Axemusica Not surprised. I guess I don’t think of Alaska as much different than other states that have a lot of undeveloped land. Although, I would expect Alaska to have some uniqueness considering it’s location, native population, local customs. I actually watch a lot of Sarah Palin’s show, made me more interested in the state.
Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race
I would move there in a heartbeat.
Glaciers, otters, puffins and whales.
And bald eagles aren’t nearly so cool when there are hundreds of them beating up seagulls.
That is should belong to Canada. :P
These days: Sarah (shudder) Palin.
^^ Ummm… No.
I do not want to belong to Canada.
If you asked me that question in real life, I would probably not understand you, laugh and pretend I did, and then walk away.
My fluther answer would be yes, please.
“Well, when she answers you, let me know.”

I used to love Northern Exposure when it was on TV. That’s was one quirky programme.
GAs to all the Alaska jokes. I’m sure there’s a Jamaica joke there too but brain not working this morning
I’m not sure if you knew this @Stinley, but Northern Exposure was actually filmed in Washington.
La la la not listening. Otherwise my illusions will be shattered
Juneau
My best friend in high school and I used to have a running joke where one would say “You know??” (only in a way that sounded like Juneau) and the other one would say “Alaska!!”. Dumb, I know.
