We are doing a project in one of our classes and you haft to have a motto that we follow in our life or that we like. Here is the one I used
“when one door of happiness closes, another opens, but often we look so ling at the closed door that we do not see the one that has been opened for us” Helen Keller

Idont know about motto ;) but…
I am here for a purpose and that purpose is to grow into a mountain, not to shrink to a grain of sand. Henceforth will I apply ALL my efforts to become the highest mountain of all and I will strain my potential until it cries for mercy.
@QueenOfNowhere And why would you want to do that? It doesn’t sound like fun and it’s all hegemonic, if you know what I mean.
@wundayatta Ha yeah it may not sound like that ;) To me it is fun but it of course has ups and downs. Hard moments… But in the end you feel great because you did it.
Geez! What a glutton for punishment. Why not set yourself an easier goal? You’ll feel just as great at the end, if you do it. The world really won’t notice the difference. I guarantee it. Sit down. Have a Margarita or something. ;-)

Do the best I can for me while doing the least amount of harm to others as I make my way. It’s been harder than I thought.

@wundayatta Why would I have an easier goal when I know I can do the bigger and better one ;)

@QueenOfNowhere To free up time to do more fun or personally or socially rewarding things. Why do you need to be the biggest and the best? Does it improve your quality of life in any other way than you can brag you are the biggest and the best? Do people love you more? And if they do, is it love you can trust, or will it disappear when someone else becomes the biggest and the best? ;)
@wundayatta That’s what makes me happy :) Being social, blabla.. I’ve done that for a long time and I feel like now I wasted my time… I’ve never met someone worth spending time with.. only two of my best friends. And we did have amazing times together… we still do. but now its my time to focus on future since i have to take lots of exams and interviews in 4 months!
I am a sucker for the simple things in life. All I need are good friends, good music, and a lot of sleep.
