Have you ever found yourself running toward the abyss ?
Sometimes it happens to me .. dunno why.
Maybe you have no goal when thinking or maybe you just like your mind to run freely.
Or literally when you run you just don’t set a finish point.
Discuss please.

Sure but as I gambled, so it was. Disaster. Lesson learned.
I’m afraid of heights, so no.
I guess you could call it that…
Not running towards it, stuck and lost IN it!
Run toward it, splash in the waters, try to not slip into it.
The quicksands of time slowly devours all.
We are all running toward an abyss. No one gets out of life alive. Se la vi.
Most of us have an abyss, be it depression, mental illness, a lack of respect for others, a conviction that we are right & everyone else is wrong, etc. However, most of us keep our version of the abyss at bay & do not approach too closely. Each person’s abyss is seductive & each of us (most likely) has to do battle on a regular basis so as to not go over the edge into it.
I choose to think of the abyss as absence, and therefore only exists in the subconscious. This is really frustrating because by the time I realize I’ve been enveloped in the abyss, I am no longer in it. I really would like to know what “lies” in my mental abyss, but every time I think about it, the abyss eludes me… Darn subconscious.
I’ve never been able to find it because of the rut that I’m in…
It is still better than falling into the abyss.
