Have you had this problem with e-mail?

Asked by Sunny2 (18852points) June 16th, 2011

I have a friend to whom I have trouble sending e-mail. I’ve checked his address with him to verify it. When I push “send,” I get the message, “This does not appear to be a valid address.” I push “Send anyhow,” but it doesn’t go. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I don’t have a direct solution to this problem but what i would do is ask your friend to send a mail to you and then simply reply to his/hers.

@rebbel Now why didn’t I think of that? Thanks

Maybe it could be a virus.

@Sunny2 You are welcome.

@nailpolishfanatic On which end? His address or my computer? I have no problem with other addresses; just his.

It could be that his address is hacked or something.

You could be missing punctation. If my e-mail address is barnacle.bill@yahoo.com and you send it to barnaclebill@yahoo.com, I won’t get it.

My only issue it the change to Yahoo Beta e-mail. It is supposed to be faster and more convenient, but it isn’t.

I think that @BarnacleBill probably has it correct. I personally have forgotten a few periods and bounced a few e-mails as a result.

I will check the punctuation again. I do know how important that is. Thanks for the reminder.
