Do you wonder where these one question wonders come from?
It’s like…they’ll come on and post a question like they know us, know we’ll help, but they are so brand new they have, like 5 points. How do they find us? What makes them think we can help? Do they know who we are ahead of time?

Many of them very well could be existing members using an alias.
You’d think we’d recognize them some way!
Perhaps they do a Google search? I did a Google search for some information about demolition sites and it brought me here….. that doesn’t sound so good :-}
The people I met have been good though and the answers to my question where great!
ROFL!!! Well, however you found us, glad you found us @Bellatrix!
@Dutchess_III I do sometimes recognize them right away. I’ve seen a few members do it just to be rude or prove a point to another jelly.
Ty Dutchess_III I am glad I found you all too.
The ones that are only here for one question and insult a lot of us are the ones that really baffle me. I always wonder how people find us. I found Fluther by doing some research for a paper I was doing.
Existing and/or former members, maybe. I never really noticed this though. Not saying it doesn’t happen, I’m just braindead. Or maybe new peeps that checked around the site for a few days, and learned the basics of the rope and asked accordingly to the community’s functions?
Ghosts, maybe? Are there ghosts on Fluther? That would be pretty cool if there were.
Fuckin’ blue faces anyway.
What? You mean a former member or old timer who might be unhappy with the site would want to cause trouble by asking a question the proper way, because they know the ins and outs of this site?
That would never happen.~
Hey, @kenmc, My kid absolutely resembles that remark! Or are you expressing a desire to…uh,never mind, I don’t wanna know…
I think they just want an answer ;)
I found this site by a google search and after lurking awhile I stayed. Maybe others just need a question answered and go on with their lives, without Fluther. I know, it’s hard to believe.
Nope, It never crossed my mind. It is so very common, why wonder where?
Maybe they find this site and take a chance.
