Even though I lost my Pops 5yrs ago I adored him while he was living. My Pops was always there for me and he is sorely missed.
To all the great dads on Fluther, I’d like to wish you a fantastic and beautiful Father’s Day.

I lost my dad too, but he was totally awesome, and he died doing what he did best; refusing to cut his hair. :D And loving me, despite how bumpy things often got. And just being generally awesome, and introducing me to all sorts of cool, obscure and and funky music and movies.
If he can hear me, happy Father’s Day dad! :D
Daddy, you should have seen me run that marathon. But, then again, maybe you did. [My father died days before I ran the Marine Corps marathon. He thought it was a dumb thing to do.] Well, now, Harriet’s got you busy now since she’s arrived, no doubt. Have a happy second honeymoon! She brought some Jack Daniels in her travel bag, courtesy your gtandson.
Yes. I was a daddy’s girl to the very end. I adored my father and I lost him in April of 2007 and miss him every day. But his voice is always in the back of my head, keeping me honest and responsible, even if I do have to ask him to stop bugging me sometimes, I know he’s right and appreciate him being there for me, still, 4 years and counting, after his death. I loved you and I miss you so much Poppa Doodle.
I was lucky that my parents stayed together and had a good marriage. 47 years when my mother died. Please, fathers, busy fathers, non-custodial fathers, please make time for your children, they matter. No one will ever love you as much as your children will. And if their mothers make that hard for you, take them to court. It matters, it really does, to both you and your children. End of lecture
I lost my dad 27 years ago. I have now been without him longer than I was with him.
He was a legend, both in his job, and to his family. I suffer still from missing him.
Happy Fathers Day, Dad.
And Happy Fathers Day to all you dads out there!
It isn’t father’s day here, but your messages to your dads brought tears to my eyes. What great dads you had. Happy Father’s Day to all the dads here in flutherland.
Broken family.
Failure father.
Skrew fathers day…
My dad is great, it’s my birthday today and although it is fathers day he is still making a full Sunday roast for 17 people, for my birthday tea….love you dad xxxx
Dads are awesomesauce.
changed my avatar to one with my dad for the day =)
@jonsblond What a great idea! I’m going to do that too. I’m just having trouble deciding which of the “many faces of dad” to choose from but I think I’m going with a my dad being a dad photo, just which one…..
Indeed .. happy father day to all those who share this bond. May this day bring you some more happiness in your life.
Cheers.
Happy Father’s Day, jelly daddies!
Happy Happy Father’s Day to the Dads in the collective! I have had moments of being deeply touched when some of you have talked about your kids. Your children are lucky little jelly babies!
Thank you everybody and Happy Father’s back to all the Jelly dad’s!
I wish that my Dad was a better Dad. I don’t think that he knows how to be one. Sadly, he is pretty self-absorbed. He’s 73 and he is not going to change anytime soon. I know that he loves his family, though.
Yay, best day of the year, save for christmas. Opened my presents this morning, a pair of superdad slippers & a best dad teddy bear, dawwww. I love being a Dad!!!!! :¬)
Happy Father’s Day
I miss you
Even though you sometimes forget what your duties are,
Even though you sometimes forget who you yourself are.
Even though you make me cry sometimes,
I’d still choose you over a 100 million dimes.
Happy Father’s Day!
I brought my dad a giant bar of chocolate… it’s his right as a father, even if he isn’t the best one around.
Here is a photo of my Pops and my big sister Lisa. He is 23 here.
@Jude They both look so cute!
@jonsblond I did the same. He’s in France during WWII
@anartist That’s a great shot. I had trouble deciding on a picture and had considered using one of my Dad as a young sailor in WWII. They were just kids then; my dad enlisted in 1942 at 17.
HAPPY FATHER’S DAY TO ALL THE LURVELY DADDY JELLIES!!!
Happy Father’s Day dads, you are lucky she allowed you to be one. :-)
