I’ll start.
I’m about a 4. I’m afraid of water [ plumbering huge installations ], electricity, gas etc
About a 1. I’m sure I’m deathly afraid of something, but I don’t really know what that is yet. I’ve overcome my old fears in the past months.
I think you may have asked the question a bit backwards.
I have a lot of fears. I’m trying to get over them. But I’ve been very brave in some really scary situations. I’m going to give me a 6.5.
Hard to answer. I will shit my pants when I stand on a ladder. But I don’t mind spiders.
Touched snakes, held them around my neck.
Held tarantulas.
Play with house spiders all the time.
Love, yes, love having black ants crawl on my hand. They look cute and it tickles.
I’d say I was 3 or 4, because I’m scared of cockroaches… and probably lions up close as well.
I am a 3 or 4. I don’t get scared being in scary parts of cities late at night. I do pretty well in the wilderness. I’ve gained a bit of concern about even watching people at heights that are not secured, free climbing scares the shit out of me. I don’t like snakes or rats, but they don’t scare me, I just want to kill them.
Oh god when I was younger I would have pretty much tried or done anything, now I have kids I have turned into a real wimp. So about a 7. Pathetic (hanging my head in shame) Oh and since my mid 20’s have gotten a huge fear of moth’s and butterflies?

Depends on what you mean by fearless. I’ll take risks, only when I internally calculate them to be safe. If someone dares me to do something stupid and I’m not at least 80% sure that it won’t end badly I’ll pass.
You made the same mistake again. If the question is fearless, then fearless should be 10.
I’m afraid of people who might point a gun at me. I’m afraid of climbing up on the superstructure of a building. I won’t jump out of an airplane. I’m afraid of the venomous looks my wife can give me. I’m afraid of dying, but not afraid of death. I’m afraid of Republicans and other conservatives. I’m sure I could go on and on if I tried.
Put me at a 4 or 5
11, I’m scared of my own reflection.
Maybe a 5. But it depends on what it is. There are billions of things.
I’ll say 5 to play it safe…
In the presence of a dentist, a 10.
Any other time, I’m a 2 or a 1.
Home alone at night where you imagine every little noise is somebody (or something) inside: 10.
Home alone during the day: 0.
I can honestly say that the only real fears I have now are fears for my wife and family and other people whom I love. As for myself, I occasionally have fears about death, but they pass quickly.
What’s a 5?
And why do these keep being written backwards? The question is “how fearless?” but then the scale has the high number be less fearless. A previous one was written that way too.
Assuming average is 5, I might be a 3 on the scale listed. Less fearless than most by about two degrees, but still with fears.
@Mariah I think you may have asked the question a bit backwards.
He does that on every Scale of 0 to 10 question he asks.
@FutureMemory Ya it’s too bad because especially when someone just gives a number, you can’t know if they meant to answer it in the main question’s direction, or in the detail’s scale’s direction.
Freak accidents: 0
Violence:4
Relationships:9
Animals:0
Accidentally hitting someone with my car: 12
I’m in charge of throwing spiders out of the house so I am going to give myself a big 3.
(I am scared of the thought of a totalitarian government more than anything else.)
I’d say it’s between a 5 and a 7.
I fear having a stroke that takes my body and leaves my brain. Any other fear would be for my kids. There are some days bad guys should be scared of me.
It varies with me, I can laugh at a weapon pointed at me, I can laugh at someone who displays hostility towards me, so in that way I’d say I’m a 0, but one of the few things I am afraid of is falling in love and getting hurt yet again and i would put that at a 4, scared enough to be a bit paranoid and distrusting but low enough that i can overcome it if I felt it were worth it.
It all depends, I will say 10 when I’m travelling in third world countries as you don’t know when you are taken by a warlord.
And it can be 0 or even -10 if you are promenading in a park.
One last thing, if I may… courage, real courage, isn’t the absence of fear. It’s doing what you must do DESPITE your fears.
I don’t like spiders… But I fought one in the garage the other day and it was HUGE and I won it’s gone and we both lived… So it’s zero because even if I do fear it, I refuse to allow it to get to me.
Although that being said… Obama’s new work policies have me slightly concerned.
