My ex gf was pregnant again and approved for pregnancy Medicaid but had a miscarriage about a month ago and has been unable to get in contact with the department of children and families, the lines are always busy or the system hangs up on her, she is afraid she will go to jail for not being able to report the miscarriage, who else could she contact, thank you

Not an expert but most Medicare or Medicaid information goes through the medical provider. The Dr. or hospital would notify the authorities if she registered with the Dr. as a Medicaid recipient.
Often the Department of Health or whoever administers Pregnancy Medicaid in your state will have a website. You can contact the Department by email and send a “receipt requested” email. This way your girlfriend can prove she sent notification.
Surely she received something in the mail about her approval, didn’t she? She can write back to whoever sent the original notification.
But as @Tropical_Willie says, the doctor is doing whatever “billing” reporting has to be done, and his billing codes will indicate the terminated pregnancy.
My sympathies to your ex girlfriend, if that applies.
Medicaid eligibility worker.
She is asking if sending a fax that she is no longer pregnant due to miscarriage would sufice?
She needs to have a professional report it. The fax could be sent by “Sally McNasty” and not your EX.
The Dr or clinic need to make contact.
The problem is she had insurance during the first 2 months of pregnancy, after the miscarriage she recieved the Medicaid and the doctor she had during the pregnancy does not accept Medicaid so shes not sure what to do, she never went to the doctor after the miscarriage
Have her go to the local Social Security office with any and all information, bills and documents.
