I love to drive and have done many cross country trips.

What is the greatest distance you have ever driven in a single day?

Where were you going? Why did you drive that far?

For me it was 1500 miles. Many times done to my parents home in Minnesota

I drove from Pittsburgh to Boulder several times over the span of 24 hours. It takes almost exactly that long….and it’s not a super exciting drive so it’s best just to get it over with. That’s about 1500 miles too. I don’t like driving that far that fast though, I like to take my time.

I’ve driven across country, but we always stopped in the evening. I believe the longest distance in one day was from Cheyenne, Wyoming to Peoria, Illinois. Peoria to Washington, DC is also about the same distance. 800 miles.

1229 miles, from Evanston, Wyoming to Chicago. I was going to stop in Iowa, but the friend I hoped to see wasn’t home, so I just went on.

I don’t know. lol

I took a road trip from my place near Placerville Ca. through Nevada, Utah, Colorado, New Mexico and Arizona a few years ago, but, the farthest I went in one day was a few hundred miles into Nevada and stayed the night in Tonopah. I think we made it to Utah the next evening. It was a take your time trip, gone for about 2 weeks. I don’t like marathon driving treks to the point of exhaustion.

Coutts, Alberta to Lee’s Summit near Kansas city, MO

That’s 1402 miles in 22.5 hours.

I would never attempt that again!
