Is there a way to save a template in GMail?

I have a few emails that I constantly have to send out to people – almost daily. They always say the same thing and it’s such a pain to have to type them out. I’ve started copy/pasting an old one into a new email, but it would be so much easier to have a template email already set and then I’d just have to tweak it and hit send.
I know GMail does drafts. The problem with drafts is that once I send it, it’s gone. I was wondering if GMail has some template function where I could save the body of an email and use it repeatedly.
