Those who roll their own cigarettes: Can you recommend a natural filter?
Those of you who know I quit smoking, settle down.. this question isn’t for me. I’m done with that particular evil weed. :P
I happen to care about someone who rolls their own and does not use filters. The reason given is trying to avoid waste and pollution, so a cotton filter or something made of all natural/biodegradable material would be great.
I was going to just buy something and give it a shot, but reading the reviews for some raw cotton filters, it occurred to me there may be issues with functionality.
Just wondering if any jellies roll their own smokes and can maybe recommend something to protect some pretty wonderful lungs?

I think adding a filter is too much trouble in a roll your own situation, IMO.
BTW: The roll your own smoker I knew…My Paternal Grandpa…lived to the ripe age of 96 without the use of filters. One of his brother’s did the same & lived to 94
Perhaps, but is it really that much more effort? I always put tips in my joints and it’s not much more trouble for a lot more convenience. My step-brother is British and does RYO with filters, each cig gets a filter. Doesn’t seem to be that much more trouble, you just make it a habit.
Just.. as an ex-smoker and having smoked the RYO with no filter a few times.. bleh.. I hate the idea that she’s doing that to herself. I have to intervene. :P

It seems that the cotton filters might be the only option, at least for now. Greenbutts is a company that’s been working on a biodegradable filter (which actually contains plant seeds!) but as far as I can tell, they don’t have any actual products to sell as of now. Pity.
…Can you recommend a natural filter?
Hemp
@Seelix – The filter with plant seeds—that is so freakin’ cool! I love it. Actually, SHE would love that.. I’ll have to keep an eye on it. thanks.
Just curious if anyone has any specific product recommendations, before I go picking products at random?
you can use cotton as filter or i think its the best and its 100% natural
just use a natural paper or hemp one. comes in little booklet of strips and you roll em up.
@Medlang – Yes, but I don’t believe those do much in the way of filtering, you know?
depends what your smoking. if your using clean raw tobacco, it doesn’t need to be as extensive as a cigarette filter.
