How would you react to news that a person with multiple personalities has several different accounts in a social website?
And is there a possibility at all that this might happen, and what if it’s here in Fluther? Would you look at his or her or their situation as quite intruiging? Too weird? Funny?
Would you probe all the personalities with questions and what would you ask?

I’d be angry, but I’d be happy, I’d be interested, I’d write a paper for a learned journal, and I, being the youngest of my personalities, wouldn’t care.
I’d say cool. Less chance they’d all be boring.
It’s the Internet. That shit goes on daily.
spoiler alert: I’m @gailcalled. Shhh . . .
^^Milo here; Weird. So am I. Were we separated at birth?
It would not suprise me at all.
@Milo . . . yes. there were six of us . . .
MIlo here: Thanks; are you sure?; I’d rather hang out with @Blondesjon than Gail; oh, no, I’m not unique; well, I for one (or for six) am going back to my therapist’s in the morning; I’m so depressed I will probably get a tattoo; where’s my pacifier?
I’m a little embarassed by my answer. I was being flip about mental illness. My bad.
I’d shower them with multiple lurve, most probably.
If you are referring to someone with a true Multiple Personality Disorder (MPD), it requires an answer from someone educated in this realm, either from experience or psychological studies. Would anyone of us know that the members were the same person? Would they have the ability to log in and off on the same site without knowing it?
If you are just referring to people that create multiple accounts on the same social site for the fun of it, for whatever reason other than MPD, so be it. I’ve chatted with a few that have done so, and I did it once on a different website. It was too high maintenance (and felt wrong), so that account was closed.
For those that shared their secret, I found it intriguing and funny. There was one person that created two accounts who let me in on his secret. He must have had two computers, because I could chat with both at the same time in a public forum.
On a side note, I appreciate when Milo chimes in on @gailcalled‘s posts, as well as when other Fluther members post the opinions of their SOs.
Glad to hear all the personalities are high-functioning and savvy on making use of social media. ~
They all had something to do .
They might even help each other .
Well, it would certainly explain some things here!
If you haven’t seen this movie, see it! It deals with just this concept and supposedly is all true (I don’t see why it wouldn’t be).
I’d react with fascination but it never entered my mind that anyone would go to the trouble to do this. Maybe they don’t have much to do.
I think we wouldn’t know unless that person told us, and it is very likely they would only have one logon. They are most likely making a concerted effort to hold it all together, and having more than one would not help in that effort.
I’d probably find it fascinating.
I haven’t done it, as far as I know. And they probably wouldn’t be completely aware of it either.
I know something you don’t know….
I’ve not seen it on Fluther but I’ve been aware of it on other sites and it doesn’t bother me a bit. The different personalities were… distinctly different, and I treated them as such.
I don’t think people with multiple personalities would all find fluther with their different personalities.
I would be thrilled and very curious.
I would be a little bit jealous too. I’ve only got one personality, and it is a fairly boring one at that.
It would be fine with me (well, unless one was evil but I just wouldn’t talk with that one). I’d most likely treat the different personalities as different people.
I was TallJasperMan and 3 others. Not at the same time. I made new accounts when I was in the Hospital for 6 months.
2011! Time flew over the cuckoo’s nest. :)
