When was the last time you started a project, and after you got into it you're saying, "If I realized how much work this was I wouldn't have started it!"?

Asked by Dutchess_III (47072points) July 3rd, 2011

I can say that about a lot of things…like this stupid bedroom I’ve been painting for 6 weeks. Every time I start flying I have to come to a screeching halt to mud and tap horizontal cracks running along each wall…and I really suck at mudding and taping, plus it throws me off another week.

But..I know I’ll be glad when I’m actually finished. I just wish someone else would come do this for me!

Um, like now.
I started a project on bags for my Textiles subject at school.
Now, I’m roaming around, researching the History of Handbags
Someone save me.

I started a couple of gifts for family, and they turned out to be too difficult. I still have the unfinished projects in boxes, but the children I was making them for have grown up.

I started playing Legend of Mana. (an RPG for the PlayStation one)

I owned this ten years ago, and went through it, but there’s a lot of side stuff I never got done. I thought this time that I could. Doesn’t seem as likely as it did ten years ago. Lol. That game never ends. Seriously, how much fruit do they expect me to grow?

Cleaning out the attic- never ending job, and of course doing a sink full of dishes.

I decided to sand off and then repaint the trim in my room and the adjoining bathroom. It is so much more difficult than I imagined it would be.

Me too @ucme…so why do we do them????

@athenasgriffin That IS a LOT of work!

@Dutchess_III Oh I managed to stop doing them, it’s been 7yrs 5mths & 3dys since I last placed Thumper’s cotton tail into place. Don’t get me wrong, it ain’t been easy. Months of rehab, withdrawal symptoms. It got so bad I was rearranging the coasters on the coffee table into famous skylines. That’s when I knew I needed help, let me here ya say yeah!! XD

ROFL!!! YEAH @ucme!

My son does puzzles. He and his friends will start it in the afternoon work through the night and complete a 1000 piece puzzle by day break.
