yerp. but more disgusted by how sick the nugs look.
Um… I live in Los Angeles… as we speak, I am, hmm… painting myself purple and gold and dancing on rooftop singing “happy days are here again.”
Sorry.
Riser: Hahaha. To each their own, right?
I’m personally not a big Lakers fan.
Go Celtics!
BOO BASKETBALL!!! HOORAY FOR HOCKEY!!!!! GO HABS GO!!!!!!!!!
and that was unintentional illiteration, by the way
I think that the Lakers are way overrated.
The game right now is making me nervous. And I’m not a fan of either team.
(Ahh… I love sports.)
Get the brooms out its a sweep!!!
I’m going to scream. Stupid Lakers.
=\
It’s ok, TennesseeTeacake…
It’s just a game.
oh… It’s much more than just a game. :p
i want a team any team to beat them and put them in their place. they r getting too big headed.
How are they getting big headed? How are they overrated? (from previous post) You sound like a Laker hater, did you have an ex like the Lakers?
in some games they play half assed like they expect to win. i realize that they win quite often but do they really have to be so arrogant? no i dont have an ex that liked the lakers. even with gasol they still arent as strong as they think they are. they play soft and when the opposition starts to push them around they cave in. so whats the big deal about the lakers?
@teacake: I think every elite team and player goes out there to win every time they step on the floor. They have played below their level at times this season but I think its because their executing poorly not because they under estimate the opponent. I do not know what arrogance you are talking about, they play with sportsmanship and class. If you could provide example that would validate your argument of them being arrogant. In the post game interview Kobe Bryant was very humble and complemented the opposing team and their effort. I haven’t seen the Lakers cave in once this entire season to a physical team. The big deal about the Lakers is that they were the best team in the best conference this season and have the best player in the league on their team. Did I mention that they are the favorites to win the championship?
kobe complains about so many calls. he acts like he can do no wrong. like hes the best player ever. he whines and shakes his head. other players can take the call and move on but kobe resents everything.
of course hes going to be what you call “humble” on camera! plus im guessing he feels pretty good for winning.
I agree with you on Kobe complaining to much but I think its more of a bad culture in the NBA. I see many players complain about calls, I wish they were more strict on the amount of complaining a player can do about a call. He is the best player in the game right now and knows it, I think to be a great player you have to have that element about you. I don’t see how you say he resents everything it sounds like you resent everything about the Lakers. You are making some pretty broad general statements that aren’t based on fact.
i think the lakers could be such a better team if they kept their attitude in check. people (like me) wouldnt hate them so much if they werent such jerks. i think you can be a good team and not be so cocky. in fact i think great teams are ones that take the good with the bad, even if it is mostly good that comes to them.
The Lake Show have Kobe (who is the best player in the league by a VERY small margin), Gasol (who is the most awkward bball player ever, but is rejuvenated on this team) and Odom (who people used to say had as much potential as the best players in the league. So, no, I am not surprised, and only a little disgusted.
I am more worried about the Celts though, after Atlanta has proven to be quite a young force who has worn out the C’s two games in a row…tired legs!!!!! Jeesh!
GO CELTICS!
I know. Poor Celtics. I’m still on their side though.
jonny and allie: i can tell you right now, celtics aren’t going to win.
Yeah they know the Lakers will.
I can still cheer for them. And the Lakers probably will win.. =(.. unfortunately
@allie more like UNFORTUNATELY!!!!!!!!!!
They are the colors of royalty for a reason.
Of course the Lakers will win. Stern and the NBA will see to that. After all when you get just about every call and break it’s hard to lose.
Wow you clearly didn’t watch the Utah series NVOldGuy. The calls went both ways, the Lakers were a better team. They create their own breaks and Utah got breaks and calls in Game 3 and 4 and still lost the series.
Right! I did watch the series and no one will get the calls the Lakers do. I have no idea if the Jackson 5 have the fix in or the NBA has made up its mind that Kobe has to be the face of the NBA now. No one gets the calls he and the Lakers get. Of course Laker fans must believe the game is fair because after all they are the Lakers.
Laker fans – Let’s all watch the game and keep our eyes on the two super stars, Kobe and Duncan. There is no way Duncan will get away with as much as Kobe. Of course Laker fans will have to take off the purple blinders.
Wow the Lakers did great. I couldn’t believe the Lakers won with just 5 on the floor. Good for them
