How many times have you typed out a Fluther question, only to delete the whole thing?

About everyday. I do this to a lot of answers too.

All the time. I think my question is too obtuse, or is just plain ol’ dumb. Many times I just follow a question if I can’t articulate or type an answer at the time I’m on.

Not often, if at all. I usually think about my questions for a while, or it is something I really need or want to know.

I have had times where I needed to delete a question (a duplicate).

A couple of times. I don’t remember what though. Even my subconscious thought it better that way.

I think I was gonna ask what it’s like to kill someone once. I am curious, but seeing how I present myself on here and my hobbies, I doubt I’d be taken seriously, and would get flamed to no end. Or maybe I did ask. I don’t remember.

But seriously folks; when I delete questions, it’s usually because at the time of typing, I can’t seem to word and explain them properly, or realized that it was pretty mundane. It rarely has much to do with the reactions I would get. Sometimes I just get lazy and I’m all like, aah fuck it lol.

I seldom have any questions I even think of asking here on Fluther anyways, and when I do come up with one, I stick to it.

I do that quite a bit. It’s usually because I’m ranting instead of actually asking a question, and I feel like more of a bitch than usual. I typically get the whole thing written out…... and then delete it all.

I do that with answers more than question. Sometimes I just suddenly shake my head and think: “Oh, fuck it” and delete the whole thing.

@lillycoyote I’ve never done that, but I’ve been tempted to end an answer with “Fuck it!” a few times. In fact, I may have.

Maybe twice on questions, but dozens of times with answers.

I don’t recall deleting questions. Answers is another matter. I delete anything I think sounds stupid or too revealing or redundant.

Not once, it’s just a question so I figure there’s not a whole lot at stake. Just go for it & to hell with convention.
I’ve typed out a totally ridiculous question before. One that stood no chance of ever going “to air” but that was just for my own personal gratification. Kind of a “if only” vibe going on.
