Assuming you're still alive in 20 years, when you reminisce about 2011, how do you think you will feel about this time period?

In the future, when you’re nostalgic about this time period, do you think you will be viewing 2011 as a tough time in your life? A good time? Tough in some ways but good in others? Family issues, money matters, career, home, relationships, family events (marriages, births, deaths) – do you expect to have good feelings about these issues or negative ones?

I might remember my new PlayStation 3, if I’m not all drunk, or dead by then. XD
This is a very good time in my marriage and my life.
2011, the worst year of my life. My mom died and I’m still heart broken over it.
OMG! I used to actually type things like OMG! :)
2011 will be looked back at as one of the biggest turning points in our lives as I bought my business and a dream home all which hinges upon the success of my business of course. If this economy hasn’t killed my biz by now I am confident I have nothing but great years ahead! :)
2011. The year I pulled my big girl panties up and dealt with shit for once.
It has been a year of progress and heartbreak at the same time. Very life changing.
I would remember 2011 as the year I discovered Fluther.
The year of the last space shuttle launch. ( sad )
The year that Casey Anthony got away.
Good on you, past self, for dealing with that okay. And (hopefully) it was all worthwhile.
To early to call. It is only July. Still half a year to go.
The good old days, probably.
2011 was the year that I jogged 6 marathons and qualified for Boston at age 60. That was so much fun. Little did I know then that I would later become a world record holder in the marathon at age 80. Life is so way good!
That would be a superb achievement @gondwanalon. Wow. Are you planning to do the 6 marathons or have you already competed them all or just some? Either way, that you plan to is huge. That would be something to look back on with pride.
I almost certainly won’t remember a damn thing. That’s not a commentary on how the year went for me, more the fact that I have a terrible memory.
What was the question again?
Humm, it’s been a rough year at the Plucky House so far. I’m sure that’s what I’ll remember. Unless something worse, or much better, happens in the next six months.
Plus the…..attack of the freakin’ mosquitoes! They’re bloody everywhere this year. I even dreamt about them the other night. Gahhh!
I will remember it as a very hopeful time.
@Bellatrix I like your cat picture! I’ve completed 3 full marathons this year so far. The last one was on the 4th of July. I’m signed up for 3 more marathons this year “Skagit Flats” in September, “Portland” in October and “Seattle” in November. I’ve been running, racing and jogging since 1980 and now have 61 full marathons under my belt. Of course I’m only dreaming about jogging a marathon at age 80. But extrapolating from my current rate of decay I think that if I train smart and am very lucky, I have a good chance of success.
Good health and fitness!
The year I realized I’d have to do something if I wanted to get somewhere in life…
So I joined Fluther
Thank you @gondwanalon. Please let us know how the other three go and I will have to make a note in my diary to ask you how you went in the marathon you enter in 2021 :-) Good health and fitness to you too.
