A few of my favorites are: Architecture in Helsinki, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah!, The Fiery Furnaces, Headlights, King Creosote, Man Man, and The Walkmen.

@amujinx The Mountain Goats are my absolute most favorite band in the entire world. I can play most of their songs on guitar and own every piece of memorabilia that they have ever produced. :) <3

According to last.fm’s user statistics, people who listened to the The Black Rabbits tended to listen to these groups too. And there’s a list of similar artists on this page determined by Pandora’s music analyists and algorithms (and similar albums to Hypno Switch here).

I’ve come to trust the “wisdom of the crowd” more than Pandora’s scheme, though Pandora will occasionally turn up an ace, so I haven’t totally abandoned them.
