How can I make an aromatic essential oil out of these flowers?

I have some beautiful, fragrant lilacs growing in my garden and I wanted to preserve the fragrance so that I can have it in the midst of the dark winter to remind me of spring and summer.

Do you know of an easy way to make an essential oil using the blossoms so that I can have this scent all year?

I’ve made a home-made still and it worked well for roses and getting rosewater,not so well for honeysuckle.I used the method WestRiverrat posted after the honeysuckle failure.It is so-so.I should’ve replaced the honeysuckle after 24 rather than 48 hours.
