Can I set up a sound alert for yahoo email?

Without the messenger program you can’t be noticed of emails unless you keep refreshing yahoo page in your browser.

If you use Firefox there is a extension that will do this. Obviously, Firefox needs to be open and for one tab to have the mail page open for it to work.

YES. Just keep Yahoo Messenger opened and you will get a loud audible alert when an email comes in. Very easy.

It was ”.. alert without running YM” and I believe even without keeping a browser open. [YM can be opened in the mail and you get the alerts there // it.s just another way of keeping YM open without the actual program].
