I draw most things but I really enjoy drawing plants and flowers, they can get so wild with the different lines and how to get it down on paper so it looks realistic can be hard to get it just right.
I usually draw animals (anything from gophers to elephants really). I enjoy drawing abstract too. I’ve dabbled in sketching humans as well (mostly faces) – I prefer animals though. I can draw nature scenes too. I guess I can draw pretty much anything I try to.
A very tiny sample of some of my work. I have a hard time scanning them (many turn out blurry or too light) – only recently have I started taking pictures of them (more so ones I draw for others).
I like to sketch figure drawing usually in the themes and similar styles of Frank Frazetta, Luis Royo, and a few other fantasy artist. Also anime I like to tinker with.

Don’t have any of my work posted less you keep an eye on my avatar window.
@Plucky They came out OK to me. That elephant is on hit. I am impressed.
I like to draw flowers. Sometimes manga/anime. I am not a good drawer so I usually try to draw whatever is infront of me.
Cartoon characters for the kids.
My daughter has most of them on her bedroom wall since my son has kinda grown out of them.
The outside or inside of a boa constrictor, also sheep – preferably inside a box.
Public Aid, unemployment, and draft beers.
there, i used up all the smart ass quips. this thread is cleansed.
@Plucky . . . Really amazing stuff. You have a very deft hand.
@Hypocrisy_Central . . . Love ‘em. You just my inner twelve year old a boner he hasn’t had since the heady days of Heavy metal.
@Fiddle_Playing_Creole_Bastard . . . Nice contrast work on the Robert Smith. Is that ink?
I’m not very good, but I’m learning. My high school won’t let me take an all-year art class, I have to do gym the first half of the year. Utterly useless.
@everephebe are you by chance a little prince? ;)
I like to draw eyes. I fill whole pages with eyes. Closed eyes, open eyes, crossed eyes…
@redfeather me too.
I also like to draw roses, people, castles, and things that don’t make much sense.
I paint more than I draw. Mainly landscapes and old buildings.
Sometimes a bath, more often flies.
People/portraits, still life. Occasionally I draw animals, mostly birds. I usually paint plants or flowers.
I like to doodle a little guy sitting under a coconut tree with a fatty hanging out of his mouth
: P
@Blondesjon yep. I did it with a brush and India ink :D
I used to draw all the time as a kid. I’ve created this character called ‘Miranda,’ so whenever I’m bored I’d just doodle Miranda. I’m not particularly artistic but she’s been the first thing I’d put on paper for the last few years now. It’s silly, but I enjoy it :P
@msbcd when I was a kid I had a character named “Duatah” that I would doodle all the time. If I can find a picture of him, I’ll post it. He was basically a skateboarder with a giant disembodied brain for a head.
I love love love drawing faces. Specifically eyes. Creepy right! But I personally think the eyes are the most beautiful thing on a person’s face, and they are deffinately the first thing I notice about a person. You can only imagine how wierded out my teachers get when my work I turn in has doodles of eyes all over it! LOL.
@redfeather I’d have to dig for a picture of Pubert. I stopped drawing her like 8 or 9 years ago. She was just a girl scout with a baby face, huge eyes, pigtails. She wore a nametag that said “Hello, My Name is Pubert” and was usually drawn into bizarre scenery. I don’t even remember how it started, but I used to draw her a lot. lol.
I mostly draw portraits. I like to draw people from the photos in National Geographic. But as of today I have a burning desire to get out my paper and pencils and charcoal and do a portrait of Alan Rickman as Severus Snape.
I just got back from seeing the final Harry Potter movie and AR was fabulous!
Thank you everyone who commented on my work. There are some amazing works by others on here as well. Lots of talent on Fluther. :)
@Kardamom
it was an amazing movie, wasn’t it? I’ve been reading Harry Potter since I was five years old, so I’m sad to to seee that the series is finished.
@jellyfish3232 Yes it was more than I expected and contained just the right amount of information and visuals that I needed to be satisfied with the ending. I too will miss the idea of more movies coming in the future.
Alan Rickman is such an interesting looking man. More than just handsome or sexy, which he is of course, but he has such an intense look and that nose is the most glorious thing I’ve ever seen (nose wise, of course ha ha). And when he’s done up like Severus Snape it somehow puts me over the edge. I feel turned on, melancholy, protective and dying to know more about him and his deepest darkest secrets and passions. That is why I want to draw him.
I’ve seen a lot of great Severus pictures on that site called deviantart.com like this drawing
