What are your opinions about these 2 Questions related to heating and cooling?
First Question:
What would the world be like if refrigeration had never been invented or if it cost ten times its current cost? What would be the impact on work, transportation, clothing and anything else you want to talk about?
Second Question:
Are men in dark suits genetic mutants? How are dark-suited politicians and business leaders different from you and I in the blazing summer sun? How can you explain the ability to wear a dark suit outside in the sun on a 100 degree day (38 degrees C) without any apparent discomfort?

As far as the politicians go, they are reptiles and require heat to survive.
If refrigeration didn’t exist or cost 10x more, we’d all still be hanging out on front porches as our not-so distant ancestors did.
1. There would be more food poisoning. There would also no air conditioners, so there would probably be more body odor everywhere and more dust in the house.
2. They are immune to discomfort. That is why they can lie with impunity and steal your money all in the name of “helping” you
1. It would be somewhat like it was before about 1920, and/or in countries which still don’t rely upon refrigeration, except the other technologies would presumably exist. There are other ways to keep things relatively cool, and/or to prevent spoiling. Underground cellars, ice boxes, insulation, spices, for examples
.
2. Maybe it has something to do with the way Bedouin wear long black cloaks in the desert. Some men in dark suits may be mutants, but not necessarily have anything to do with the heat. Clothes that produce a shaded air region inside them can be relatively comfortable to wear in warm weather.
1.No refrigeration. We would die younger from high blood pressure due to the high amount of salt put on our food to keep it fresher.
There would be less of us because we would either have to hunt or have our own farms or live near one for fresh produce.
As @josie explained. Food poisoning would be on the rise which will bring our numbers down.
2. I can’t beat @SpatzieLover. I think that was the best explaination. LOL
As aptly noted there would be a big impact on food, probably a lot more would be local and less variety due to perishability during transport.
Without refridgeration, Florida and Arizona would be almost deserted, there would have been huge world wide famines. The population of the earth would probably be less than half of its current number. There average life expectancy would be much less than it is now. The Social Security fund would be completely solvent
@SpatzieLover had the right answer for the politicians: “As far as the politicians go, they are reptiles and require heat to survive”
