There have been many many events in history where the absolute truth has been sketchy, to say the least. A myriad of happenings that for whatever reason the truth boils down to he said, she said.
What event would you have wanted to be a ‘fly on the wall’ so that you could say “I was there and I know what really happened!”
If you could know one absolute truth, what would it be?

I wouldn’t mind being among the 5000 whom Jesus fed with his miracle of fishes and loaves… actually I won’t mind being present at ANY of the miracles Jesus performed
I would want to
1. Witness the crucifixion of Jesus, assuming it actually happened. Not to be goulish, but simply to see the origin of the myth.
2. Witness the battle of Thermopylae
3. Witness a North African tank battle in WWII
4.Come face to face with the homonid that was the very first legitimate precursor to Homo Sapiens
The day that John Lennon met Paul McCartney.
The first time that Alan Rickman put on his Severus Snape costume during the making of the first Harry Potter movie.
The day that Charles Shaugnessy first walked onto the set of the Nanny and met Fran Drescher.
Only one choice? The first one that comes to mind is being a fly with full view of what really happened in Dallas, Texas, on November 22, 1963 when John F. Kennedy was assassinated.
It has to be an event that included food. I’m a fly and it’s close to dinnertime besides. How about the sinking of the Titanic. I’ll enjoy the celebration; then I could fly away from the actual terror of the sinking.
I don’t care for this answer. I’ll think of something else. Have to go make supper.
I seem to be fixating on Biblically-oriented stuff e.g. I’d SO want to see the parting of the Red Sea! The battle where the sun supposedly stood still would be interesting too – I’ve been wondering about that for some time
Others I’d be curious about is the 1906 SF earthquake, the meeting between Paris and Helen of Troy, and watching Leonard Da Vinci or Michelangelo at work
I’d like to have been a fly on the other side of the fence by the grassy knoll.
The fly in Marilyn Monroe’s bedroom that night.
I’d go back to Biblical times to view things for myself.
One of the great debates in history. Maybe the constitutional convention…
I’d like to visit Athens in its golden years. Of course I’d know Greek so I could understand what was being said. I could fly around at a great feast with toga wearing guests and find out how they could eat lying on their elbows. I’d have to watch out for the slaves with the big fly swatters.
In the cockpit of a spitfire during the Battle of Britain, I got you now, you nazi bastard!!
